Practical Advantages of this Build
Choosing the 2.0 TDi Diesel in the Long body style provides a distinct layout advantage over the shorter chassis or hybrid variants. While all T7 Multivans share the same 3,124 mm wheelbase, the Long model adds extra rear overhang. This means that even with all 7 seats occupied, you retain a massive 763-litre boot area for luggage—a feature heavily compromised in the standard-length body. Furthermore, the TDI engine remains the preferred choice for long-distance motorway cruising and towing, delivering excellent fuel efficiency and torque compared to petrol or plug-in hybrid alternatives.
These Stock Vehicles are fitted with the 7 Seat Conference Pack.
- The 7-seat Conference Pack is an optional interior layout upgrade for the Volkswagen Multivan. It allows the second row of seats to face backwards, creating a “face-to-face” social or mobile office environment with the passengers in the third row.

How It Works & Key Features
- 180-Degree Mechanical Reversal: The two individual middle-row seats can be lifted out of their floor rails, turned 180 degrees, and locked back in to face the rear. Unlike older generations like the Caravelle which had heavy swivelling bases, the T7 uses lightweight, removable individual seats to achieve this.
- Integrated Seatbelts: Because the seats can face backwards, the three-point seatbelts are built directly into the seat frames themselves rather than the vehicle walls, ensuring full safety in either direction.
- The Slidable Multi-Function Table: The pack works alongside the Multivan’s signature central rail table. The table can slide between the rear-facing second row and forward-facing third row, popping up to offer tray tables, cup holders, and storage for a meeting, a meal, or laptops.
