What is the OLEV grant to install a Home Charging Point?

Is there still a Government Grant to install a Home Charging Point?

Unfortunately, there are no longer Grants available to private individuals to install home charging units. There are still Grants available for Flat Owner Occupiers and Landlords looking to install charging points in rental properties.

However, the new Workplace charging scheme supports businesses looking to install charging points at their premises. There are certain criteria to be met and you must use an approved OLEV installer.

More information can be found on the Government website.

You can also see the vehicles that are eligible for a grant here:

On the road, drivers of pure electric cars and vans are exempt from paying the London Congestion Charge (subject to registration), find out more here. and as they produce no tailpipe emissions, pure Electric Vehicles are automatically exempt from the ULEV charge introduced in April 2019.
